Welcome to my baseball card blog and card sales offerings. The history of baseball is interesting as it is believed to date back to the 1740s in England where they played a similar game called “rounders.” The word base ball is first seen written in the English book a Little Pretty Pocket Book by John Newberry. The first game in the U.S. was played in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1791. However, the first game played resembling its current modern form was played in Hoboken, NJ.
Within my posts, you will find a total of 250 cards listed for sale. The other two categories of posts are Hall of Famers from the early 1900s (90) listed “NFS” and cards that have been sold (17, as of February 2020). I am open to offers for cards for sale. Offers can be made directly to my email: 1jimburton@gmail.com. Your offers are contingent upon viewing followup front and back side photos. I also hope that you have enjoyed the mini-bios for each player.
Note: In addition to the 250 baseball cards listed for sale, I have a total of 837 baseball cards. Also, I have 515 ice hockey cards, 100 basketball cards and 135 football cards that are available.
